essential
A few years ago I found myself at a crossroads. I had retired my basic button downs and pencil skirts/ pant suits combinations for something far more casual. The pivot in my career was certainly a driving force to the parallel shift in my wardrobe. When I had re-surfaced after taking a short hiatus between jobs, the shift in careers was quickly reflected in my outfitting choices. One being that I had welcomed a multitude of leather options to the mix. I've given most of my leather pants enough wear over the years, so it's easy to see how these leather-paneled pants have received a warm welcome. As far as dissecting this outfit, well I've given the usual black and white a facelift of sorts -- integrating houndstooth and layering a variation of textures. This is just the tip of the iceberg of transitional dressing.
