a few good things
I love hitting the reset button every few months in both the fashion and beauty department. While summer is all about minimal layers and bright staples and the skin soaks in the sun for a more natural glow, come fall I'm all about making the little changes that work best with the season. The layers and knits start surfacing in my wardrobe while in the makeup department, I'm all about incorporating a few layers as well. When it comes to makeup I keep one philosophy year-round, and that is less is more. This is especially true when it comes to makeup. Even though I don’t always have a full face on every single day, I like to make sure that my routine stays fairly simple on the days that I do. I usually start my skin off with SPF and primer, followed by a light foundation, then finish off with a few strokes of mascara and a dab or two of blush. Whether it’s a foundation I use routinely or once in a while on-set for shoot, I’ve always found my skin tone to be extraordinarily hard to match. And since my skin has its on and off days, the right foundation is ultimately the most vital step in my routine. So when I discovered L’Oreal True Match during a shoot I had a few months ago, I’ve been using it since. It’s my secret to keeping my skin looking fresh and seemingly flawless without all the extras. So here are just a few good things helping me kickstart the season:
Cozy knits in the perfect fall color Boost of inspiration via Twyla Tharp's book that has been on my reading list for sometime A gold accents to accessorize wrists in the form of these double cuffs A signature pair of sunglasses to work into various outfits Lightweight "everyday" foundation to match my changing skin tone Can't go wrong with thick-heeled sandals to show off the last of the summer pedicures
