Celebrating Love
When I was young, there was so much emphasis on the celebration of Valentine’s Day. From creating heart-shaped mailboxes and consuming a plethora of Sweethearts, to receiving candy grams and invitations to high school dances, there was always some form of celebrating love. As I became older, a few of my relationships led to a more pessimistic school of thought – activities like these began to seem foreign, silly, if anything, simply childish. But among the most important things in my life, making time for love has stayed at the top. It’s the smallest of positive gestures toward another person that can change the whole energy, and add positivity back into my own life. And this Valentine’s Day, as I’ll be taking the time to celebrate, I’m gathering some of my favorite things to give friends, the most important part of each gift is the message behind it.
So what better way to celebrate this Valentine’s day than to look into the world of Roger Vivier, who set a new milestone in the history of fashion when he invented the first stilettos in 1954. The launch of his mini collection, Love Tattoo, encompasses the message of hope and love while keeping the brand’s effortless style.
