I've really expanded my collection of colored corduroys this season and I found it difficult when it came time to deciding which color to pack for my two-week trip to Los Angeles.  Last week, I purchased this unbelievably comfortable (and reasonably priced) pair from 1969.  I love the richness of the plum tone that also has the ability to transform into a deep ox-blood when cast in different lights.
