gift guide: for the home

Whether it's helping a friend spruce up their apartment, or helping them cross off a long-awaited necessity on their list, decor items are my go-to come holiday season gifting. When it comes to shopping, I like to surf the interwebs and normally stick to three or four destinations for all my needs. Here's this year's first installment of gift ideas and where to find them.  Happy shopping! ONE.  These agate coasters are a great addition to any tabletop, whether you're giving a gift to someone with a more rustic or refined decor aesthetic. (Set of four for $130, Calypso St. Barth)

TWO.  Building a beautiful bar is a process that requires a combination of good liquor and some classic accent pieces.  This festive decanter would make any bar stand out for your host.  ($39, West Elm)

THREE.  Candles are a very common gift option, so try changing things up with these soy candles molded in ceramic trinket boxes. A gift they can keep long after the candle has burned.  ($65, Jayson Home)

FOUR.  These personalized bottle stoppers make a great last-minute gift or stocking stuffer.  ($35, C.Wonder)

FIVE.  Anything with a unique scent and pretty packaging always makes a great gift.  This set of Apotheke soaps has a combination of scents and are an essential addition to any home. ($56, West Elm)

SIX.  A classic set of bar tools are also an essential to any home, try any variation of tools to help to help give that bar a facelift. ($79, West Elm)

SEVEN.  Refresh someone coffee table with a new book.  Whether they're into interior decor, art, fashion, a well-weighted book makes a great coffee table topper.  ($49.95, Jayson Home)
