Trying to take a break from work and vacation is somewhat taxing, but every year my boyfriend and I try our best to make it out of the city for some alone time, and this year we've decided to take on the Miami heat.  So about this time next week, I'll be sitting on a beach, sipping strawberry daquiris, and reading my latest chic lit with the sun beating on my face (hopefully).  Taking an end of the summer break has its perks and I'm thinking that it should be mandatory for everyone to take a pre- and post- summer vacation to clear their heads in preparation for the following season.  Since it's my first time in South Beach, I need some tips!  Shoot me an email/ comment and let me know - what are your favorite places?
