THE GOH TO

There's nothing like L.A.'s golden hour.  The sun struggles to stay out just a moment longer, leaking its light through every nook and cranny creating the most beautiful shadows and silhouettes throughout the city. Even though it was pretty dreary these last couple of days, I've thoroughly enjoyed having ample downtime, taking the scenic route when I get the chance.  I took a quick drive and spent the weekend visiting my parents' house in the suburbs, which prompted another reason whyI love about this city.  The Bougainvillea bushes that brighten up each neighborhood are a vibrant sight to be missed when I head back east.

Since it's been fairly humid, I've kept my outfits simple, pairing these favorite vintage cut-offs with lightweight top like this and so forth.  I guess I spoke too soon when I said the weather here is bearable.  The scarf was even a bit much for the humidity, but it offered the outfit some much-needed dimension and it's a simple way to change up even the most simple outfit combinations.
