One of my favorite parts of blogging is having the opportunity to see designer visions come to life and sharing these up-close experiences with you.  I've been getting a lot of questions lately about incorporating more of this into the blog, so I thought I'd start this fashion Friday with one of my most recent previews -- Tibi's A/W '13 collection.

I've been a long time fan of Amy Smilovic, designer behind Tibi.  Her story alone is inspiring -- going from corporate to creative, raising a family, and basically just doing it all, successfully.  After meeting Amy backstage this past NYFW, I couldn't be more excited to see this collection come to life.  Seasons after season, I'm constantly impressed to see how she transforms clean basics, and this one didn't disappoint.  The sporty utilitarianism of oversized coats, quilted separates, thigh-high boots, and... dickies!  Here are just a few of my favorite pieces.
