Long overdue photos from my trip to the Dominican Republic back in January. A refreshing escape from the brutal winter, and even better because I had a head start to shop the wide range of new swimwear options. When it comes to anything swimwear-related, I tend go back to my west coast roots and style -- lots of color, feminine, playful, but lately I've almost completely abandoned the traditional triangle bikini style for these sporty-yet-feminine highneck halters look instead. There's actually a few different options, but the cropped is so good.  It's also kind of perfect considering I don't have much there to cover in the first place. These days I'm also gravitating toward more of the one-piece styles because…well let's be honest, the gym hasn't been at the top of my to-do list over the past month.  I'm sure my tan will come back at some point, but for now, I'm reminiscing about pina coladas, good rum, warm sand, and soaking up the sun. Also, important note: go stock up on bikinis now because it's alway slim pickings come the latter months of spring.
