The weather these last few days in New York has been absolutely frigid.  With winter officially here (I know I said this two weeks ago, but I'm serious this time), it's easier to stay in, curled up than to make a trek anywhere outdoors, but I broke the yearly hibernation cycle for some brunch, bars hops, and other random adventures over the weekend.

One of my favorite things to do in New York has always been brunch, and this weekend I visited Tartine.  I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to go, but the wait was well worth it.  As one of the few restaurants left in New York with a BYO- policy AND serving brunch till 4pm, Tartine has made a quick climb up my list of brunch spots.  This quaint little restaurant nestled on the corner of 11th and 4th is everything you'd want on a winter day - intimate seating arrangements, an injection of seaside decor, and the sweet smell of fresh pastries.  The prices are inexpensive while the food is simple and fulfills the many facets of French fare .  So next time you're in the neighborhood, make sure to grab a table and enjoy...because like my friend Matt says, "the best bottomless brunches are the BYO- brunches"
