the hunt
My recent move from downtown Financial District to the East Village was one of the best decisions I've made. People always told me that location is everything and I never understood why till now. When I settled down at my apartment downtown a few years ago, I sacrificed the location for extra closet space, but now that I've lived a few weeks in the East Village, I know that this is where I should've moved long before. The apartment hunt itself wasn't so easy though. In New York City -- as I'm sure like anywhere else -- it's tedious, but when I came across this little adobe with its charming french windows, large french doors, and exposed brick, I knew I had to live here. My favorite part of finding a new place is always hunting for trinkets and treasures to fill my apartment with, and Hunters Alley appeared on the scene just in time for this redecorating process. I discovered the new online resale marketplace filled with unique vintage, pre-owned, and handcrafted items for the apartment that have made this place feel more like a home. Even though the apartment isn't nearly complete, there are so many little corners that are coming to life with the help of a good online hunt.
