3 Ways: Goat’S Milk Yogurt
When it comes to yogurt, goat milk is my preferred. A few years ago a friend introduced me to a goat milk soft serve spot in West Village that turned me onto the idea. My initial hesitation instantly became somewhat of an obsession. The frequent visits eventually led me to seek alternatives, and goat milk in the form of yogurt since has become a staple in my diet. Unfortunately, it's not the most accessible as most store-bought brands but you can most likely find it at the local farmer's markets. As far as recipes go, I'm still working on options, but this summer these have been my three go-to combinations.
The first, kiwi and agave, is definitely more tart, but the agave sweetens up the combination. Whisk together the yogurt and a few teaspoons of agave, then layer the cup with a few slices of kiwi and and top with yogurt.
Granola and honey. I love any parfait that includes granola and this is no exception. Try blending the crunchy treat with goat milk yogurt and honey to kickstart your day.
Strawberry, Pitaya, and Coconut. Smoothies are a must with goat milk yogurt. I like taking a variation of seasonal fruits, blending them together and topping it off with raw coconut flakes to change things up.
Nothing too hard to throw together, but hopefully provides a bit of inspiration!
