art of contrast

As much as I favor wearing brighter prints and colors in the spring, I also love incorporating simple basics into the mix, especially ones that come with a twist.  In this case,  a leather shift shirt with mesh detailing, pair of black pants with front slits, and two thin gold cuffs create a monochromatic contrast bright enough for spring.  Also kind of perfect against these beautiful purple flowers I discovered over the weekend -- always a pleasant surprise when I discover some form of greenery in this concrete jungle.
