avocado toast

I've never been a fan of sweet breakfast options.  If given a choice, I almost always choose bacon, eggs, and toast over pancakes.  Since I had very few breakfast options over the course of my trip in Hong Kong, and quickly grew tired of oatmeal, I opted for an option that was both quick and savory.

Serves: 2, Time: Less than 10 minutes

- 1 large or 2 small avocados - 1 tablespoon of flaxseed - Salt/ pepper (opt: lemon pepper - available at Trader Joe's) - Bread of choice.  Here, I used raisin nut bread - Black currents or other options: raisins, dried cranberries

Directions:

Cut up avocados (see above picture), and scoop into a medium bowl.  Using a fork, mix + smash avocado till it is a spread-like consistency.  Flavor with salt pepper.  Spread over toast and top with black currents, and flax seeds.  *Optional: Serve with a side of eggs.
