Black Wrap Dress

Long overdue photos from my trip to Nevis last month, but definitely one of my absolute favorite vacation looks. The past six weeks have been adventurous, to say the least.  With my  hair now a bit blonder, tan a bit deeper, and home a bit messier than usual, these photos seem like ages ago.  My boyfriend and I left for this getaway with very few expectations — which is actually how I travel to most places.  I packed a few simple pieces that I picked up at my favorite boutique in the East Village, including this long, flowing dress.  Ventilation is dire in humid weather.

The high slit, breathable material, and ethereal feel of the dress make it completely vacation-appropriate.  Then, paired with this beautiful woven bag and sandals — which I eventually kicked off — this look, is essentially how I dress when I'm away on a holiday.  Breaking the rules and eliminating my vacation wardrobe of standard tropical uniform.

Then, before I knew it, I was back in the city, transforming the dress into something a bit more city-appropriate with sneakers and a casual crossbody.  Multi-purpose.
