blueberry pomegranate fizz

Wether it's mixing together a gin fizz or a carafe of mimosa, I usually like to keep my drink concoctions simple.  I tried out a few recipes with pomegranate, and found this one to have the perfect mix of sweet and tart, and it's absolutely refreshing.  Try this tomorrow with some festive ice cubes and let me know your thoughts!

Blueberry Pomegranate Fizz Ingredients 1/2 cup blueberry-flavored vodka (try Stoli) 1/2 cup pomegranate Juice 1/2 cup soda water 1/4 cup superfine sugar, and extra to sugar rim 2 tbsp lemon juice

For the ice cubes 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries 1 whole pomegranate, peeled Water to fill ice trays

Directions Shake together sugar, lemon juice, pomegranate juice, vodka, and about 1/2 cup of ice in a cocktail mixer (alternative: plastic cup with plastic wrap) until blended.  Divide mixture in 4 martini glasses, then fill with ice.  Top each glass off with 1/4 cup of club soda.
