Camel and Cream
I've been making room for the abundance of obsessions looming on the horizon this season. The periodical wardrobe shift is rather necessary, but shortly after sifting through the hangers and organizing the drawers, I realized my closet lacking more than usual. With my dresses still drowning in the pre-Labor Day white and tops consisting of paper thin material, I decided to pay a visit to the interwebs and sort out my situation. The truth is, I rarely have time to pursue the non-digital shopping space, in fact, I get pretty claustrophobic when I walk into just about any store -- it's crazy to think how the interwebs have not only shifted accessibility but completely altered my comfort zone. Fast forward, and the hours of online shopping now have me stocked through winter with essentials from Lord and Taylor, and landed me in this more elevated fall look.
Possibly one of my favorite combinations-- the weighted fabrics of L&T Brand Assembly's SVILU camel wool skirt paired with the detailed black accessories is a welcomed departure, taking the trans-seasonal marriage of summer leftovers out of the equation entirely. The Y by Yigal x Design Lab cold-shoulder sweater still revealing my glow while the layered black socks and suede booties tell the truth, that winter is coming. While camel and black are more of an unexpected combination for me, the more exciting story lies in how these pieces can function separately.
