Extended Stay
{Eye of the Storm, SoBe}
Having an unexpected trip extension was somewhat stressful, but to make the most of our recent excursion to South Beach, Miami we explored the ins and outs of the city (and did a little shopping along the way).
I snapped a quick shot (wish it were a bit better) of this little ikat patterned cutout dress that I wore to our last night of dinner at Meat Market. The black mesh interior and cotton exterior was ideal for the humid weather, and the side cut outs were a playful addition. I love my patterns and prints and this dress perfect to flaunt around SoBe in on my last night.
In addition to the limitless shopping selection down Lincoln, Collins, and Washington, there lies Ocean Drive. The street boasts of a plethora of restaurants filled with 2x1 drinks and $9.95 specials, and making your way down here can lead to an afternoon filled with caipirinhas and margaritas. However, if you're really looking to stimulate your taste buds, make a visit to Le Sandwicherie. Nestled on the corner between a shady tattoo parlor and an alleyway, you'll find this quaint little sandwich bar serving baguettes filled with mozzarella, prosciutto, and all the fixings. I ordered not one but two sandwiches (to share of course) - the other being a croissant filled with brie and Saucisson Sec (French Salami)...I'm actually salivating while thinking about it. The salty meat, creamy brie, and warm croissant creates the perfect coating for an afternoon of drinks.
So to make a trip worthwhile, discover everything in the nooks and crannies of any city and maybe you'll make some sweet and salty finds!
