frayed denim

Made a pit stop at one of my favorite Lower East Side boutiques last weekend before brunch to pursue the latest summer pieces.  I came across this dress with its stitching and frayed details that I knew I had to add to my growing denim dress collection.  Despite the heat, I still find denim dresses surprisingly breathable and love the idea of an easy-to-wear piece that I can throw on when I'm running out the door. I've been pretty intent on finding a frayed denim piece these past few weeks, but nothing really caught my eye till now.  I love the overall boxy silhouette of this dress, and the belt is completely necessary for cinching in any excess fabric.  The perfect dress for just about anything lined up on the summer to-do list.
