Last Monday I had the pleasure of sitting down with the GANT Rugger team at the SoHo Grand Hotel to discuss the up and coming release of their women's collection, and style a look with their latest F/W '14 collection.

I'll have to admit that when I was first approached by GANT, I really wasn't sure what to expect but any brand with a solid collection of buttondown shirts always immediately grabs my attention.  Then when I met head designer Fifi Hallstensson and her "spezzy but messy, in heels" situation and previewed the upcoming F/W '14 collection, I was convinced that GANT Rugger was in fact, made for me.  Think comfy sweats, graphic sweaters, undone buttondowns, and tailored coat -- pretty much everything that defines my style stitched together in one collection, and then some.

So when it came time to style a look I gravitated toward this updated trench and built around it with some comfortable separates and an injection of color to take my usual haphazard style to the next level.
