ikat ramba

These guys.  I'm a fan.

Color aside, there's nothing remotely close to this in my shoe closet right now, and that really does need to change.  Spring is right around the corner and even though my virtual shopping carts are full, I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.  The hesitation stems from many things, but mainly because I told myself I wouldn't be so 'checkout'-happy this year.  Using the express gateways as a method of swift purchasing was really becoming a problem for me in 2012.

Well, then this morning's daily perusal led me to this pair of flawless ikat Altuzarras.  And even though I asked myself what a New Yorker like myself -- one who rides the subways on a regular basis, scours the streets for happy hour specials after work, and grabs dollar dumplings at Prosperity in Chinatown would do with a pair of heels like these in her possession...I clicked the mouse twice, maybe three times and realized it doesn't matter, I just need them.  Shoes by Altuzarra, $680.
