jeans & a tee

Flirty dresses and skirts lose their appeal come when cold weather approaches, but there's something about a pair of distressed jeans that I will gladly wear year round. I've always been a jeans and t-shirts type of girl though so that might explain it.  Come fall, I love taking the two basics and layering them under printed blouses, preferably unbuttoned, before throwing over a structured blazer or fur coat.  The pop of print or pattern always gives a look some added dimension especially when it comes to something as simple as jeans and a t-shirt.  Since my uniform these days mainly consist of some variation of the two, I try to make it as versatile as possible.  Sticking with neutral shades also help make the transition to evening as seamless as possible -- which in this case usually just requires a quick accessories swap.
