Madeleine In the Making

I'm a novice when it comes to baking but since I have such a sweet tooth, I have really been making an effort to improve my skills. Since I haven’t really built my portfolio of recipes yet, I’ve been looking around for some inspiration to help myself improve.  So when I was craving something sweet, buttery, and bright, I decided to make some of these little French butter cakes, otherwise known as madeleines.  I found this recipe on this adorable food blog here; and since I have no patience at all, this was the perfect quick and easy bake recipe.  Though there are many tweaks that need to be made to my version, they turned out delicious and I'm looking forward to perfecting my madeleines.
