packing: make-up

{PREP/FINISH} Here are a few products I use on my skin: Estee Lauder advanced night serum underneath my night look | Clinique sunblock when I'm not wearing make-up | Clinique make-up remover for removing everything| Kiehl's eye cream during the day and at night

When it comes to packing for a trip, I like to keep things fairly simple - especially when it involves my make-up and skin routine.  I'll be away in Europe for a little over two weeks and here are a few things I've narrowed down to pack for prepping the skin, creating a pulled together day look, and some extras for the night.

{ DAY/BASICS } When it comes to wearing makeup during the day, I find it easiest to stick to lightweight basics that keep skin moisturized and protected.  My day routine usually consists of the following:  Clinique's light yet hydrating moisturizer |  A UV makeup base |  Tinted moisturizer to keep skin tone even | Mascara that only requires one coat | & A matte bronzer for some added color | Tools: Shiseido eyelash curler | Beauty blender to give an overall even look

{ NIGHT/EXTRAS }  Whether it's adding a pop of color to the lips or piling on a few extra coats of mascara for the smokey effect, the night is all about experimenting and making a look more dramatic.  I usually wash off the day and start fresh, and here are some extras I'm brining along to mix up my night look abroad:  A full-coverage concealer | Lightweight foundation | a highlighter to brighten up the overall look | a deep blush (MAC's 'Pinch Me') | extra glow for the cheeks - currently loving 2nd Love Baked Blush | A dramatic lip color | Easy-to-use liquid eyeliner | Extra dark eye pencil (Sisley)
