plaid pairing

Miss me?  I know, it's been awhile (for me) since I've been here, but don't worry things are back to their normal daily broadcasting as of this post.  It's a promise.

It's still too early for layers but I'm sure that'll change in just a few weeks -- specifically, this outfit layered under a light coat but for now these two pieces together are the exact balance I'm loving.

Let's talk plaid (or tartan?) and its almost-perfect marriage with the semi-seductive leather mini.   I don't normally gravitate toward leather pieces loaded with hardware, but this one makes the basic leather skirt...well, not so basic anymore, and I'm really digging it.  Especially paired into a simple ensemble with this top and practically non-existent accessories for some transitional dressing.
