poplin and plaid

What are your thoughts on collared shirts? My latest acquisition of this tailored poplin makes wintry layering far more appealing -- even with the reminisce of Thanksgiving still lingering on my face, particularly around the chin region.  It wasn't till a few years ago that I started embracing this idea of closing off my neckline.  In fact, the coldest of climates couldn't convince me to sport anything that covered above my collar bones, but fast forward to present day and there's nothing I want more than to bundle up in turtleneck and turtleneck alternatives.

Anyway, whether you're going for patterned or plain, the right button down can make all the difference.  Exaggerated collars which vibe Karl Lagerfeld and rounded hemlines in this case serve as the ultimate layering piece, adding quite the accent to the usual ensemble of layered coats and sweatshirts.
