Whether you’re pushing the pedal in LA traffic, climbing your way through Nob Hill San Fran, or dodging sidewalk grates in New York City, commuting is simply a grueling process and wearing flats seems like the only practical alternative to getting through it all. I’ve tried searching for the best comfortably substitute for heels and have virtually tried walking, driving, and running in every type of flats I could find - from the Tory Burch classics and Chanel Ballerinas to foldable ballet slippers – but nothing beats the Smoking Flats (aliases include Tuxedo Flats, Slippers, The Hugh Hefners).
These slippers were big last Spring with the release of many menswear-inspired trends and continue their way through Fall's must-haves - boasting deep colors and plush velvet fabrics. And since leopard is a classic pattern loved by many, here are four pairs of leopards to love.
Pair the velvets with just about anything including skinny (colorful) corduroys or patterned skirts; but take a minimalist outfit to the next level by adding a bit of print.
