the fur is back

And this time in a shade of dark plum.

Getting dressed these days has been all about simplifying.  Managing the bulkiness of winter layers is easier when there are fewer of them.  That's where the fur steps in.  Don't worry PETA, it's faux.  Wearing this over nothing but light tees (this time, a sneaky catman one from a brand current obsession) is essentially how I plan to manage my way through the next few days of frigid weather, even if this warrants a few subway gawks that may create slight discomfort. Ah, how I relish in those moments when I'm standing there in a pair of heels higher than five inches, full face of make-up, and a faux fur jacket, thinking -- "why didn't I just take a cab?!"
