up high, down low
Introducing a mix of textures into the wardrobe which include these suede thigh-high boots. I have to admit that I was a bit of skeptic considering my aversion to things that draw attention to my calves and also the fact that thigh-high boots have a reputation of being notoriously -- for a lack of better words -- Pretty Woman-y (we can thank Julia Roberts for that), but they've exceeded my expectations, and have become quite a strong contender to replacing my pants this fall and winter altogether. Not to mention, pairing them with chunkier pieces like chunky knits or ethereal dresses help tone them down.
Anyways, in spite of my best efforts to add some color there's been this pull toward textured black separates -- from this mesh skirt to variation pinstripe pullovers, the neutral is now more appealing than ever.
