Weekend Casual

There's so much going on about the week that I now prioritize the weekend with the utmost comfort, and to me, comfort comes in the form of anything oversized.  I recently scored a few versatile pieces to easily style Monday through Sunday looks with, and these black velvet trousers is one of them.  They score a ten on the comfort meter (ten being the highest) and are ideal for layering over a set of cuffed thermals, a necessity considering the past few frigid weeks we've had in New York.  The second on the list is this bomber.  I was (and still am) digging all the RTW from Coach but during one of my visits to the store and "accidentally" wandered over to men's.  So decided to spend my hard-earned loot on this bomber instead.  It's a pretty ideal piece when you're semi anti-social like myself and always looking for a place to hide.  Ultimately, this feels like I'm floating around in my personal cloud, ready to nap at any given moment.  And if you're here now, you know how important I find the marriage between actual menswear and menswear-inspired.  Vital.
