west coast winter
While the rest of the US is frozen over, I'm pretty relieved to be here in Los Angeles where it's 60 and sunny. I know it's a bit dramatic to be sporting a knitted turtleneck in this weather, but the natural gravitation toward cozy separates this time of year makes resisting inevitable. Not to mention California always provides such a great in-store selection since west coast and east coast styles are so inherently different. The notion of west coast practicality is something I lost years ago when my personal style evolved and I began wearing what I wanted when I wanted. Not that I never did anyway, but the marriage of my past and present is simply comforting.
