a few good things | east bound
I'm here. The week has been nothing short of busy, but then again when is it. I truly do love having a schedule that keeps me preoccupied though -- it's exhausting and fulfilling all at the same time. All week, I've been sporting barely there dresses, switching between heels and sandals, and wrapping some layer of clothing around the waist. The latter is to make sure I feel less naked and a bit more "professional" per say.
I'm glad that I'll be escaping the city this weekend, and it's almost guaranteed that my outfits won't stray far from this week's uniform mix of dresses, sandals, no-make-up, and minimal accessories.
Next stop, South Hampton. It's going to be my third trip out this summer and the more I take these weekends trip, the more I realize I lack the necessities for these trips. Here are a few things I wish I had to bring/ will be bringing as I venture out east.
1. A multi-function turban for my hair, which is getting a little out of control. 2. A quick read filled consisting of humorous short stories for the train ride out. 3. Light slip-like dress to help regulate that ever-fluctuating body temperature. 4. A simple face routine -- hydrating face cream and mist (available at Duane Reade too!) for my sun-sensitive skin. 5. Classic sunglasses that will go with just about any outfit I pack. 6. In need of a classic carryall for all my essentials. 7. Sandals with just enough of a heel (really good budget ones here).
