dark and distressed

I can't recall the last time I wore jeans with less than five percent spandex in them.  Honestly, elasticity is a crutch I constantly lean on when it comes to "jeans", but I can't deny that my dependency isn't warranted -- who wouldn't feel good being reassured of having the same pant size over the span of four plus years?  Regardless, I digress.  I stumbled upon this pair of dark and distressed jeans a few weeks ago when I was ill-prepared for the drop in temperature and decided to seek refuge while perusing through racks of clothing.  I never intended to purchase anything, but then again I never do, and as a result ended up with a pair of denim that I've had on constant rotation for over two weeks,  wearing them with everything I own.  My dependency has shifted yet again, and so I wonder, will real denim take over quite the way that skinny "jeans" once did?
