fresh and frayed

You're probably wondering at this point whether my imagination spans outside of the black and white color spectrum, and the answer is simply, no.  It's really hard when I'm continuously enabled by easy ready-to-wear that function all on their own.  Take for example the recently acquired  black frayed denim.  Worn almost everyday, shamelessly, since the moment they reached my doorstep via UPS.  Sure, they hug my calves -- which normally I'm very particular about-- but there's something about the combination of distressed and frayed mixed in with more streamlined pieces like a fitted coat and a pair of loafers that pull a look together.  Simple and functional, two keys to my everyday.
