red and white
Happy Fourth, all! Current location: Paris Haute Couture.
I'm slightly bummed I can't be taking part in all the Fourth of July festivities and to be honest, I'm sure most of you are out cavorting as I sit here in my little Paris hotel room at 4AM writing this post on a whim. If I have time, I promise to take myself out for a hot dog somewhere in Paris. A glass of wine in hand, of course.
It's been a bit of a crazy year so far. I've barely made time for anything personal with social media taking priority, but I think these workaholic tendencies are finally catching up to me. It's tough enough trying to balance life itself, and even harder when you absolutely love what you do. As I approach my blogiversary -- speaking of which I'll have to look up the exact date -- I love to reflect on how far you've all taken me and humbled to have found something that I absolutely enjoy doing. Last weekend, I went out with Maison Margiela Fragrances to Montauk. Per usual, I landed myself with a bit of a fashion dilemma which was remedied through an impulsive exploration of the Net-A-Porter sale. Same day delivery and more importantly, the sale.
I picked up a few items including this red and white seersucker situation. Even though this dress reminds me a bit of the Candy Striper uniform I used to wear in high school when I volunteered at the hospital, I'm loving it as part of the summer aesthetic. Whether I'm spending my summer in the city, abroad, or in the Hamptons, I'm convinced that the red and white will be a classic well passed the holiday weekend.
Can't wait to share more photos from Paris. I'll definitely need to do a guide update soon if I ever have time to come back here for personal fun!
