Continental

Always in search for the most epic weekend adventures. I spend a lot of my summers out east in the Hamptons, and during this time of year, while the fog still rests thick along the coast throughout the day and the temperatures haven't quite reached prime two-piece weather, I love taking the time to discover new sights along Route 27.  It's adventures like these that create the most special moments, especially for a city girl like me.

My most recent trip led me around Montauk in the latest 2017 Lincoln Continental.  Since I moved to the city over nine years ago, I rarely find myself behind the wheel anymore but when a car as special as this one comes along, it's hard for me to pass up the opportunity to take the wheel and head out on the road.  Every stitch, every detail, perfected, this car was the ultimate luxury during my five days out east.  We woke up early Saturday to catch the soft backdrop cast by the early morning fog, first stopping at the Montauk Point Lighthouse.  Standing in the distance, with its silhouette barely making its debut for our arrival we snapped a few shots before rushing over to Goldberg's for a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everythng flagel to help soak up the remnants of the night before at the Surf Lodge.

We spent most of the weekend driving through the Hamptons -- we looked out the cliffs at Camp Hero, popped by the vineyards in South Hampton, passed along Andy Warhol's Summer Compound, and ended every afternoon taking in more seafood than one could possibly imagine.  From coasting along the highway to taking a backseat during my return to the city, few adventures are complete without the proper vehicle.
